We approach all our projects with two stakeholders in mind. The first is the user, who is at the centre of everything we design. The second is of course our client. We pride ourselves on the trusted, long-term relationships we develop with our clients and the care we take to understand their brand, business and goals.
How we work
We do not have a rigid methodology as all projects are truly different. We do however draw upon a set of standard tools, methods and techniques that complement our user centered design process. Most of our projects typically include these three stages and plenty of cyclical iterations along the way:
Research and Discovery
This includes, not only getting to know your product but its existing or projected users. This may include market research, literature reviews, one on one user interviews or qualitative research. The goal is to help you design the features and services that your users actually want and inform decisions based on true user goals, behaviours and motivations.
Common Deliverables
User or product research models, strategy recommendations, scenarios, use cases, personas.
Modelling and Requirements
The goal of this stage is to generate, document and validate concepts informed through research; and ultimately endorsed by users through early and frequent testing. Throughout this (and the design) process, we work closely with your engineers to ensure the features and designs are feasible and implementable within your existing constraints.
Common Deliverables
Wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, functional diagrams and specifications.
Design
The goal of this stage is typically to design the UI and user experience however, we work on all sorts of design projects. Some are purely conceptual or ‘big idea’ projects, others focus on asessing and improving the usability and overall experience of an existing product, while others simply focus on visual design.
Common Deliverables
Conceptual sketches and mood boards, iterative designs, style guides, comprehensive detailed designs, icon design, delivery of production-ready assets.
